The School’s and Academies Show 2024 at the Birmingham NEC was a fantastic event filled with the top education providers and leaders in the UK and beyond.
This year, we visited to hear various viewpoints from impressive speakers, to meet education leaders and discuss their marketing strategies, and to network with other providers in education who also believe in adding value to the education system.
Post-SAAS – What’s to come?
Over the course of the next couple of weeks, we’ll break down some top tips, interesting insights and give you a run-down of the most asked questions in the room – it’ll be like you were there yourself.
The Schools and Academies Show this year certainly had an underlying theme. Almost every talk touched on AI in education. We all know what AI is by now, but many were wondering what impact it could have on the education sector, how it could benefit education organisations, and many had reservations – understandably.
We had a fantastic chat with Ofsted, getting to the bottom of Ofsted compliant websites in schools, which we’ll break down in an upcoming blog.
One of the first speaker slots we attended was from the Minister for School Standards, Catherine McKinnell MP, who gave an update on “Education under the Labour Party” at the Main Stage. That will be our first blog so watch this space.
We’ll also provide a rundown of the talk from Lee Owston, the National Director of Education for Ofsted whose speech was aptly called “You Spoke, We Listened”. Followed by Insights from Ofqual – What’s Next for Assessment.
A hall filled with innovators and leaders
The event was a thriving hive of innovative providers, many of whom we spoke to, and many of whom would be excellent partners with The Education Agency in the future. From construction contractors, to caterers, software providers that streamline school processes, right back to our essential stationery suppliers, Hall 1 of the NEC was buzzing.
EdTech – what does the future of education look like?
Another hot topic for the day was EdTech. Some questions cropped up around cyber security and data protection, so over the next quarter, we will try our best to demystify this term, break it down into layman’s terms and look at how it can and should be embraced in a way that is effective.
An interesting day for The Education Agency
At The Education Agency, we’re passionate about fair and reliable marketing for education. That’s why we attend events like the Schools and Academies Show, to ensure we’re at the forefront of the Education sector’s trends, issues and concerns. This enables us to continue to deliver solutions which many providers often promise, but don’t deliver.
